Managing Your Trading Accounts
The Accounts page is your mission control. Here is how to keep your accounts organized, run manual syncs, and manage your plan limits.
Think of the Accounts page as your central hub. It's where you track sync statuses, rename your brokers, and move old accounts out of the way to make room for new ones.
At a glance: What you can do
Each account row gives you a quick snapshot of what's happening. You can:
- Rename & Edit: Give your accounts meaningful names (e.g., "Personal Swing" or "Prop Firm MT5").
- Sync Now: Click the sync icon to manually pull in your latest trades immediately.
- Check Status: See at a glance if an account is currently syncing, on cooldown, or needs a password update.
Archive vs. Delete: Knowing the difference
This is the most important decision on this page. When you're done with an account, you have two ways to remove it from your active list.
1. Archive (Recommended)
Archive an account when you are done trading it but want to keep the history.
- The Result: The account becomes "Read-Only." No new trades can be added, but all your past data, journals, and reports remain accessible.
- The Benefit: It no longer counts toward your active account limit on the Basic plan.
- The Catch: Archiving is permanent. Once archived, an account cannot be restored to an active state.
2. Delete (Proceed with caution)
Delete an account only if you want to wipe it out completely.
- The Result: Every trade, journal entry, and report associated with that account is erased forever.
- The Catch: This cannot be undone. Use this only for test accounts or data you truly never want to see again.
| Use Archive if... | Use Delete if... |
|---|---|
| You want to see your old stats | You want the data gone forever |
| You've finished a prop firm challenge | You made a mistake during setup |
| You're making room for a new account | You're deleting a test account |
Pro-Tips for organization
- Use clear names: If you have multiple accounts with the same broker, name them by strategy or account type (e.g., "ICMarkets - Day Trading").
- Manual Syncs: Only use "Sync Now" if you've just closed a trade and need to see it in your journal immediately. Otherwise, our auto-sync will handle it for you!
- Freeing up space: On the Basic plan, you have a 1-account limit. Archiving your old accounts is the fastest way to add a new one without upgrading.
